Who I Am

Hi! I'm Rose Pike, Owner and Head Baker of Gryphy's Cookie Jar.
I make healthy dog treats.

My company is named after Gryphy, my family's Australian Shepherd. He inspired me to do what I do. Gryphy was a smart boy who thrived on a raw diet. I wanted to give him dog treats that complemented the healthy aspects of a raw diet, but couldn't find any commercially available products that fit. Commercially available products contain wheat, chicken, corn, soy, preservatives, and artificial colours and flavours that make the treats cheaper. These things don't belong in a dog's diet. Since I couldn't find what I was looking for commercially I started making my own. Now I offer my products to dog parents who want the best for their furry friend.

As I meet with dog parents I learn what other sorts of dietary issues they have and develop other products to help them thrive as well. This is where my line of Just Dried products came from. These single-ingredient treats are made in Erin, Ontario Canada by my own hands using locally-sourced produce.

Why Choose Gryphy's Dog Treats

If your dog has allergies or food sensitivities, has been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, or is already enjoying a raw food diet, Gryphy's treats are an excellent choice.

Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a serious heart disease that makes it harder for a dog’s heart to pump blood. When a dog has DCM, the heart muscle becomes weak and stretched out, making it less effective at sending oxygen-rich blood to the body. Some breeds like Dobermans, Boxers, and Great Danes are more likely to develop this condition because of their genetics. However, diet can also play a big role in heart health. Grain-free diets are associated with this disease. A carnivore diet may not provide enough important nutrients like taurine and L-carnitine, which help keep the heart strong.

Feeding your dog a balanced raw food diet can help support heart health and may lower the risk of diet-related DCM. Raw food diets include fresh meats, organs, and bones, which naturally contain taurine and other important nutrients that support the heart. Since Gryphy's Cookies aren't cooked at high temperatures like kibble, they keep more of their natural vitamins and minerals. Giving your dog a properly balanced raw diet can provide the nutrition they need for a healthy heart and longer life.

Gryphy's treats are different from commercially available treats offered by the big dog food companies. Some source their ingredients from different suppliers, based on price, which can create inconsistencies in quality of ingredients. Gryphy's Cookie Jar only sources the highest quality local ingredients to produce consistently healthy and tasty treats for your dog.
